During my time at Politecnico di Milano, the accessory design course culminated in a final project involving a piece of jewelry and two other products. For this, I designed and prototyped a jewellery piece. The brief, "Second Chance, First Choice," encouraged me to repurpose old silver, which I sourced by melting used cutlery.

Mood

For the "Second Chance, First Choice" brief, focused on reuse, the moodboard blends sharp, angular shapes with soft, rounded edges, capturing a balance between tension and flow. The muted color palette is lifted by the vibrant emerald green, symbolizing renewal and transformation.

Initial Ideation

These are my original sketches and jewellery concepts that I used to develop the final jewellery pieces. They include a variety of designs, each inspiring different elements of the final outcome.

Concepts

These are my final concepts that I considered moving forward with. The piece I focused on and particularly liked was the central design, thanks to its adjustable size feature.

Inspiration

This showcases the final aesthetic I aimed for in the design, drawing inspiration from a bolo chain style with a lattice design at the center.
